Conference Scope

Sustainability targets and climate change objectives cannot be met without addressing buildings and the built environment at the building, district and urban scale to include our transport and energy infrastructures. Renowned for showcasing results coming out of the EU Horizon 2020 Framework Programme via the participation of cutting-edge research and innovation projects, the scope of Sustainable Places is captured directly in its name. It involves designing, building and retrofitting the places we live and work in a more sustainable way.

Conference Concept

Sustainable Places prides itself on being an ideal platform for the dissemination of research, the conduct of workshops, EU project clustering and networking between stakeholders of all types. SP2020 will be held over three days allowing morning travel on the first day and afternoon travel on the third day. Between opening and closing keynote sessions, parallel technical sessions and project-organized workshops will be held on conference topic areas.

Registration rates (online event)

The "Speakers & Panelists rate" gives access to the full online series of events, for our attendees presenting technical papers, showing project posters, organizing and participating in clustering workshops. It will allow full audio access as well as screen / presentation sharing capabilities during the event.

The "Non-presenting attendee rate" is available to those that want to discover and participate in the event but are not presenting scientific contributions. It will allow interacting with speakers & panelists through the Questions Pane, live polls and surveys of the GoToWebinar system (microphone muted, audio listening only).
