The symposium targets mainly musicologists, psychologists, neuroscientists, neurologists, neurosurgeons, psychiatrists, gerontologists, neuropsychologists and students interested in this interdisciplinary and innovative area, but is also open to attendees from all other disciplines and backgrounds.

Furthermore, the symposium will feature the inaugural meeting of the Neuroscape Alliance (, commited to international cooperation in the field of serious video games for brain training and recovery. The symposium attendees will therefore also be able to visit the Neuroscape@NeuroTech facility at the Department of Clinical Neuroscience, CHUV.

The overarching goal of this initiative driven by the NeuroTech platform of the Department of Clinical Neuroscience at the CHUV is to foster discussion on how to promote further implementation of music and technology in healthcare.

On the evening of the 19th September, the symposium will be followed by the interactive concert "The Enchanted Brain" at the Rosey Concert Hall in Rolle ( An innovative concept combines classical music played by the Chamber Orchestra of Lausanne with interactive experiences and demos about the effects of the music on the brain, using novel technology.

Please note that submissions for short presentations are encouraged and accepted until September 9th, 2019. The scientific committee will select the abstracts for short presentations based on scientific quality and relevance.
