    Cloud Innovation Summit

The Cloud Innovation Summit organised by the Paris Region Economic Development Agency in partnership with ALTRAN and BULL ended on a highly successful note following two days that assembled 13 major French companies and 13 American start-ups last March 17th and 18th. Over 80 individual meetings were held, which have already led to likely partnerships.

The objective was to put European and Silicon Valley cloud computing solution providers in touch with French integrators and major accounts.

The success of the event undoubtedly stemmed from the tremendous synchronisation in participant expectations. French users nowadays are seeking innovative, efficient technological solutions, while for their part, international companies are looking for local relays where they can develop and, ultimately, found a local structure.

“Thanks to the excellent work done on selecting the companies, the event has helped me save time and consider some interesting collaborations,” stated Capgemini CTO Jean-François Caenen.

“I’m really satisfied! I found my first major partner, with whom I signed an NDA* as early as the first meeting so I could demonstrate my product!” said an enthusiastic Karim Nad from American company CloudFlow.

The event also served to introduce PREDA services intended for international companies during their settlement process, for instance in hiring support: “PREDA’s help is decisive in hiring the right people and in setting up an appropriate network,” confirmed Jean-Philippe Kalfon from CORDYS.
