Digital disruption & big data - How do we disrupt and not be disrupted?

Everyone hears about digital disruption and big data –  the taxi industry is being disrupted by Uber and Grab, AirBnB is taking on the hotel industry and Netflix is disrupting the media and movie industries – but it doesn’t apply to us, does it?
Think again. Every section of every industry is being disrupted by digital technologies and big data and new business models.
Following on from his engaging presentation at Linedata Exchange in London last year, Practical Futurist Andrew Grill will again answer the question – how do we disrupt and not be disrupted?

Based in London, Andrew Grill is an internationally renowned thought leader in the fields of social business, digital transformation and social media networks.

Currently, Andrew is Global Managing Partner, with IBM Social Consulting. Andrew and his team are responsible for developing and delivering a truly consultative approach across the whole of IBM, bringing together the best of IBM’s Smarter Workforce and Social offerings, with world-class consulting services.

Recent wins Andrew has been responsible for include a social and digital branding strategy for one of the world’s largest fashion companies with a multi-year engagement.

Previously, Andrew was CEO of leading social influence platform Kred, and presents at international conferences on a regular basis, while maintaining a well-read blog at LondonCalling.co about digital transformation and social business trends.

Andrew’s extensive commercial experience comes as a result of running Australia’s largest commercial property website, PropertyLook, as well as holding senior marketing and business development roles with Australian telecommunications companies Telstra and Optus.

He was also responsible for launching Australian location technology company Seeker Wireless onto the world stage, moving from Sydney to London in 2006 to set up their European presence.

More recently he was head of international client strategy for WPP owned Visible Technologies.

He firmly believes that in order to “get digital you need to be digital” and his keynote session will focus on digital disruption.
