    Ed Gouldstone
    Head of Hedge Fund Product Management

    Ed Gouldstone is Head of Hedge Fund Product Management for Linedata, responsible for the company’s global product strategy in the alternative investment markets and across all of the company’s front and middle office products.  Prior to this, Ed managed Linedata’s Business Analysis team for the Linedata Beauchamp product set, where responsibilities included managing the links to other Linedata products such as Linedata Longview and Compliance. Since joining Linedata in 2004, Ed has held positions in support, client services and development for the Linedata Beauchamp product set. Ed holds a BSC in Mathematics from the University of Bristol and has held the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designation since 2007. 

     

    Matt Gibbs
    Product Manager - Front Office

    Matt is Product Manager for Linedata based in London.  In his current role, Matt is responsible for defining the strategy and success of Linedata’s front-office products in Northern Europe as well as co-ordination of product strategy and integration of the Linedata products used throughout Northern Europe.  Matt has a rich background that includes experience within asset management firms, consulting and his expertise includes trading, compliance, integration, fixed income and derivatives.

    Matt has over 18 years of industry experience in the asset management industry with additional experience at firms including Simplex Consulting, Barclays Capital, Rothschild Asset Management Insight Investment and SunGard Futures Systems.  

    A recognized industry speaker, Matt frequently participates in conferences, round tables and market panels covering trading, compliance, integration, fixed income and derivatives.

     

     

     

    Dr. Vincent Kilcoyne

    Vincent Kilcoyne is responsible for building and developing the SAS Capital Markets business together with launching the SAS Fintech Incubation facility. Dr. Kilcoyne has over 20 years of experience in the banking technology arena where he has held strategic technology roles for a number of banks and solution providers globally and is a regular and highly regarded speaker and contributor to the capital markets community.   

    Prior to joining SAS, Dr. Kilcoyne led sales support, product strategy and operations for solution providers including SunGard, Fidelity Information Services, Wallstreet Systems, Misys and Temenos in the areas of energy trading and risk, retail banking, foreign exchange, money markets, capital markets and derivatives.

     

     

     

    Mathieu Hamel

    Mathieu Hamel graduated from Normal Sup' Cachan in Economics and then studied Applied Mathematics at INRIA (Ph.D). He was a Financial Engineer for Société Générale, options Trader for Bear Stearns and, before founding Marie Quantier, proprietary Trader for Macquarie Bank. Mathieu loves India, Muay Thai and living by the ocean.

     

     

     

     

    Catherine Doherty

    Catherine is CEO and Principal and has been with Investit since 1998. Catherine specialises in strategy and planning, and aligning operational strategies to the business. She has developed methodologies for benchmarking businesses against market and best practice, drawing on Investit’s knowledge and experience built from over 1,600 consultancy assignments.

    Catherine is also the founder of the Investit Intelligence research service; a community of firms who collectively sponsor independent and practical research that informs their common objective to shape a successful future for their firm. Catherine’s research work helps firms build more efficient businesses, better able to manage rapidly changing markets, geographies and regulations. Catherine also leads the Change Management forum where Heads of Change from many global investment firms meet to share best practice in change management and to resolve factors which prevent change happening effectively. Prior to Investit, Catherine worked at Gartmore, GAM and BZW.

     

     

     

    John Rowland

    John is a political consultant and analyst with a decade of experience working in London and Washington, D.C. He has particular interest in political risks for the financial sector. He recently launched Cicero’s report Disruptive Influences which examined the impact of innovation on the future of the financial sector. He joined the multi-award winning consultancy Cicero Group in 2006, opened its US presence in 2011 and was appointed to the group board on his return to the UK in 2014. He holds a BSc in Government from London School of Economics and an MSc in Public Policy from University College London. 

     

    David Remy

    Dave is the Chief Technology Officer for Linedata’s Asset Management products.  Dave is responsible globally for program management, development, and quality assurance across Linedata’s Asset Management suite of products including Longview, Linedata Compliance, Trader+, Global Hedge, and Derivation.  He has been in the CTO role at Linedata for over 5 years.  He has over 25 years of technology industry experience both in leading technology companies such as Microsoft, BEA Systems, and IBM as well as the top technology role at multiple successful companies such as GeoTrust, Sharebuilder, Corbis, and UBoost.  He is a coauthor of the book Securing Web Services with WS-Security: Demystifying WS-Security, WS-Policy, SAML, XML Signature, and XML Encryption and is a named inventor on multiple key software patents applying to software languages, security, and identity.

     

     

     

    Philippe Carre

    Philippe Carré recently joined Ullink as the global head of business development.  His key focus is to support Ullink’s business worldwide by fostering and managing global partnerships through a Global Alliance Programme.  Philippe also looks after Ullink’s strategic investments and M&A opportunities.

    Prior to joining Ullink, Mr. Carré worked for SunGard (now FIS) where he was global head of connectivity in charge of the delivery of hosted services to clients in the trading space.  Preceding SunGard Philippe worked for GL TRADE, where he initiated and launched the company’s buy-side trading solutions business; he also managed client services and operations globally.

    Overall Philippe Carré has 20 years of solid financial industry expertise and is a well-respected speaker and key contributor at industry event and with the press.

     
     

    Ashley Kovas

    Senior Regulatory Intelligence Expert

    Ashley Kovas has been involved in financial services regulation since the implementation of the Financial Services Act 1986, at which time he was at the Department of Trade and Industry. Subsequently he worked for several fund management companies before joining the FSA in 2000 where he worked on both wholesale and retail policy issues. His last role at the FSA was as Manager of the Collective Investment Schemes Policy Team where he was responsible for almost all aspects of the COLL Sourcebook. He also took an active role as a member of the CESR (now ESMA) Investment Management Expert Group, as well as representing the FSA at IOSCO Standing Committee 5 (Investment Management).

    After eight years at the FSA, Ashley became Head of Group Compliance (Funds) in the Prudential PLC Group Compliance Department. After a period as Director of Strategy for the Solicitors Regulation Authority, Ashley was Head of Group Compliance Policy at the Royal Bank of Scotland where he introduced a suite of Conduct Risk Policies effective across the RBS Group. 

    Ashley is now a Senior Regulatory Intelligence Expert at Thomson Reuters where he analyses and writes on topical regulatory matters.  He also works as an independent regulatory consultant.

     

    Kenneth Farrugia

    Kenneth joined Bank of Valletta plc (BOV), Malta's largest banking group, in 1985 and has since occupied various positions within the Bank. Kenneth currently holds the post of Chief Business Development Officer at Bank of Valletta plc and sits on the Group's Management Board. Kenneth is amongst others responsible for the improvement of the Bank’s market position, as well as the the achievement of financial growth and long-term strategic business goals.
    Kenneth is also the Chairman of FinanceMalta, Malta's national promotional body for financial services, and also serves as Chairman of the Malta Funds Industry Association.     Michael Sparkes is responsible for business development activities for ITG’s Analytical Products group. Previously he was head of the company’s global consulting team servicing clients with TCA and related analytical products and services. Michael has more than 25 years’ experience in the City, including several years as Head of International Equities at Aviva Investors (formerly known as Morley Fund Management) heading a team of portfolio managers and traders located in offices around the world. He was a Director of Morley’s asset management operations in Japan and Singapore, and also spent two years as Managing Director of a stock-broking subsidiary based in Amsterdam and Antwerp. He started his career at British Airways Pension Fund as a US equity portfolio manager. Michael is a graduate of Cambridge University.
